Along with Walter Crane and Randolph Caldecott, Kate Greenaway is considered one of England's three great children's illustrators of the late nineteenth century. Her work is primarily characterized by depictions of cheerful childhood scenes. At her family's home in Rolleston, Kate fell in love with the English countryside.
