Well written. I teach CCD and was looking for characteristics of a lamb and a shepherd to use for information while reading the Gospel of Mark (goats and lambs). I heard a story about a "bad" sheep called a fencer who left the herd and then the herd followed. The shepherd broke this sheep's leg and then cared to recovery.

Lamb is the traditional choice for shepherd's pie, but you can use ground beef or even ground turkey in its place. Dried Italian seasoning is a good substitute for the individual dried herbs called for in the recipe. Just use 1 1/2 teaspoons dried Italian seasoning in place of the dried thyme and rosemary.

Heat the oil in a medium sauté pan over medium-high heat. Add the onions and cook until soft, about 5-6 minutes. Add garlic and 2 tablespoons of chopped rosemary and stir.
