#1 vs. As yet another entry in my Contest-For-Every-WeekDay-Challenge, I present to you a showdown between the two Legendary Fire/Flying Pokémon, Moltres and Ho-Oh. Who would win in terms of Looks? Battling? All around coolness? Personally I'm going with Moltres. He's the original, plus I like his looks much more than those of Ho-Oh.

If you want to fight Grass or bug types, then Ho-oh/Moltres are better because Fly > Grass and Fly > Bug. Now, they are all legendaries, so they are only used for attacking in raids/gyms. So I will probably go for the one with the best Att stat which would lead to Moltres > Entei > Ho-oh.

Shadow Moltres is one of the best Fire- and Flying-type raid attackers in the game. It is terrible for PvP. Ho-Oh is pretty good in Master League and has play in lower leagues, but the shadow doesn't seem significantly better (if at all) than normal, though shadow Incinerate damage will be punishing. It is useless for PvE.

But for possible future Legendary Raids (Registeel, Regice - but maybe switch Entei/Moltres, Jirachi, Celebi), I'd go: Moltres (Fire Spin/Overheat) > Entei (Fire Spin/Overheat) > Ho-Oh (Steel Wing/Fire Blast) And for Gyms:

Moltres would have the most DPS. Ho-Oh and Entei are about the same. Ho-Oh would most likely have the most TDO because of the larger defense and stamina. The strongest legendary in Hoen is perhaps one of the strongest Pokémon in all continuity. Rayquaza was already a serious threat to the Pokémon world, capable of fighting off a Deoxys by itself and calming a war between Groudon and Kyogre.

by CzarJG24 6 years ago If Ho-oh had better moves to compliment its stats and types, I would easily deem it as the best Fire type. But, with its current move pool, it is probably better suited as a less potent anchor than Lugia, sadly. Other than that, can't really say for certain which legendary is the best Fire type.
