Bae BienU Cycle at Axel Vervoordt Gallery

Axel Vervoordt Gallery is eager to present Bae Bien-U's solo exhibition Cycle, as a continuation of the artist's previous exhibitions ConvexConcave (2011) and Counterbalance (2014). In Cycle, the Korean photographer offers a close view of different series, spanning from 1981 until 2018.During his travels to the Korean island of Jeju, Bae Bien-U captured the various elements of nature playing.

From 21 April to 27 November 2022, the Wilmotte Foundation presents a vision of Venice by the Korean photographer Bae Bien U. For this special occasion, Bae Bien U, responding to Jean-Michel Wilmotte's invitation, presents a brand new series of photographs that renews our perception of Venice, through an exhibition entitled "Light of Grey" in the Wilmotte Foundation gallery.

Bae Bien-U studied at Seoul's Hongik University, receiving his BFA in 1974 and MFA in 1978. He led a long career as an educator, beginning at the Seoul Institute of the Arts (1981-2015) and going on to teach at Suncheon University (2015-2016), both in South Korea.
