A great beach for water sports and even in peak summer isn't too crowded. El Playazo beach is situated at the western end of town and is the longest beach in Nerja. Although there are plans to renovate the whole area at some stage, including the construction of a promenade, El Playazo is currently undeveloped, natural and unsophisticated.

I visited Playa El Playazo for the first time in two years and found it hard to believe the transition. There are now (more than) adequate parking facilities, the beach has eroded to a more manageable size and there is sand instead of stones.. there are proper facilities as well as a life guard station and the same excellent chiringuito.

sept. de 2019. El Playazo es una playa menos popular (pero popular) en Nerja. La playa es más pedregosa y puede ser difícil en lugares donde entrar al agua debido a las piedras, almacenamos zapatos de agua. Me encanta escuchar porque es mucho más tranquilo que las otras playas alrededor de Nerja.
