Of all the new Dew flavors competing to find a permanent spot on store shelves nationwide, Distortion, a "lime blasted Dew," seemingly has the biggest obstacle to overcome. Both the drink and the bottle look almost identical to the company's trademark regular flavor, making it almost impossible for a casual shopper to differentiate it.

Distortion (previously known as "Flavor #231") is a Mountain Dew flavor first released in stores in 2010 as a finalist in the DEWmocracy 2 promotion, where it lost to White Out. Distortion was a Lime flavor of Mountain Dew. Since it was green in color, its label was shaded darker than original Mountain Dew's to avoid confusion between the two flavors. It was similar to another Dew flavor, Lime.

I don't think I was allowed to drink Mountain Dew at that age still because of the caffeine, but once I was like 15/16 I had more control of what I can buy and drink. So that being said, I would really like to try Distortion and the other flavors I missed out on. Distortion is my all time favorite Dew.
