Place your sheet of paper over the top of the gelli plate (standard printing paper works well, or experiment and try tracing paper, water colour paper, old sheets from books) Using your hand smooth the paper down gently and evenly across the gelli plate. Printing Fabric with a Gelli® Plate
The gel printing plate is for art and craft use. It is not a toy. Do not use any glossy paper stock, including glossy photo paper. It can stick to and damage the surface of the gel plate. As your gel plate is used, it is normal for it to lose its glass finish and become matte and cloudy.

Gel printing plate is a soft surface that comes in a variety of sizes that is made with a mineral based glycerin which give the plate a flexible and moldable surface so that you can spread paints, add textures, and make many prints.
